Terry Brooks

FantasyEpic and high fantasyComic fantasy

Terry Brooks's Shannara books follow generations of the Ohmsford family, guided by the druid Allanon and his successors, in a world that turns out to be our own far in the future. The Landover books are comic fantasy about a lawyer who buys a magic kingdom.

Best estimate, compiled from series guides, publisher descriptions and reviews where available, and from memory otherwise. Book level only, not chapter level. Minor includes cameos and brief references. Each book carries a confidence rating in its tooltip. Only the main Shannara series and the first Landover books are charted; the Word and Void and Genesis of Shannara bridges are left out.
