Paul Hirschhausen
Paul Hirschhausen, known as Hirsch, is the constable in charge of the one-officer station at Tiverton in South Australia’s mid-north. Distrusted by other police after a corruption case in Adelaide, he wins the district over slowly, through patience and decency, while covering an enormous patch of farms and small towns.
