The Lincoln Lawyer season five will be the last, and it arrives in 2027
Netflix’s fifth and final season of The Lincoln Lawyer adapts Resurrection Walk across ten episodes, with Cobie Smulders back as Mickey Haller’s half-sister Emi Finch.
Mickey Haller’s time on Netflix is coming to an end. The streamer has confirmed that the fifth season of The Lincoln Lawyer will be the final one, and Michael Connelly has said on Threads that it will premiere in 2027. Netflix has not yet named an exact date.
The season has ten episodes and adapts Resurrection Walk, the 2023 novel in which Haller turns to innocence cases. Filming began in March 2026 and wrapped in July.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns as Haller, with Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole and Angus Sampson back as Lorna, Izzy and Cisco. Cobie Smulders also returns as Emi Finch, revealed at the end of season four as Mickey’s half-sister. She asks him to help free a woman she believes was wrongly convicted, a role that echoes Harry Bosch’s part in the novel.
Netflix is also developing a spin-off built around Emi Finch, although it has not yet been given the go-ahead.
If you want to read ahead, Resurrection Walk is the seventh Mickey Haller novel, and it follows The Law of Innocence, the book behind season four.
